Additionally, for\u00a0<strong>Nikkei 225 Climate PAB Futures<\/strong>, the index construction is adjusted by GHG emissions while maintaining sector neutrality.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure the contract reflects the intended underlying index, constituent screenings will identify 3 main factors before listing.<br \/>1) If the firm is involved in activities related to controversial weapons, tobacco.<br \/>2) If there are any violations of United Global Compact (UNGC) Principles or Organization. For Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) guidelines.<br \/>3) If Revenue derived from\u00a0<em>coal\u00a0<\/em><em>\u2265 1%; Oil Fuel\u00a0<\/em><em>\u2265 10%,<\/em>\u00a0<em>Natural Gas and Electricity Generation\u00a0<\/em><em>\u2265 50%<\/em>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, the index is set up such that there will be certain exclusion of companies, and re-weighting of constituents so that its overall GHG of the index is 50% lower than that of the Nikkei225 and will be further decreased by 7% in the following years. The top 5 constituents of the index as of March 2023 are\u00a0<strong>Fast Retailing Co., Ltd<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tokyo Electron Ltd<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Softbank Group Corp<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Advantest Group<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>KDDI Corp<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As one of the first futures launched on SGX, Nikkei 225 Futures is one of the most established and oldest barometers of the Japanese market.
