The properties of rapeseed oil are sometimes misunderstood for canola oil though they contain different genetic makeup and erucic acid content.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, China currently accounts for 14,700,000 metric tons of rapeseed production which is 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0largest in the world, behind Canada and the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>With the launch of rapeseed oil futures as a QFI-approved product by\u00a0<strong>\u90d1\u5dde\u5546\u54c1\u4ea4\u6613\u6240\uff08ZCE\uff09<\/strong>, China\u2019s market is set to widen its influence of commodities into the international markets. On 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0December, ZCE also released a notice to solicit public opinions to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/english.czce.com.cn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">open up new internationalized products.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On January 2023, Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange announced that Rapeseed Oil, Rapeseed Meal, and Peanut Kernel Futures and Options of Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) have been\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csrc.gov.cn\/csrc\/c100028\/c6963228\/content.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">added to the list of specified domestic products and will be open to overseas traders as of January 12, 2023.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apart from\u00a0<strong>rapeseed oil futures<\/strong>, other forms of the product include\u00a0<strong>rapeseed futures<\/strong>\u00a0\u4e0e\u00a0<strong>rapeseed meal futures\u00a0<\/strong>which are currently not included in the product list from ZCE for QFI trading.<\/p>\n<p>Hence, this article will standard issued by the general administration of quality supervision, inspection, and quarantine of the People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>\n<p>The benchmark for delivery is grade 4 rapeseed oil which conforms to these specifications.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Reuters, in July, the spread between the rapeseed oil on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/china-commodities-oilseeds-idCNL3N2ES18W\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange and soy oil on the Dalian Commodity Exchange
