Besides being a major source of fuel, crude oil also produces many by-products from chemicals to plastics used in everyday life. It can be classified into \u201cSweet\u201d or \u201cSour\u201d depending on the Sulphur content.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>What is Medium sour crude oil?<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Relatively abundant type of fossil fuel used worldwide.<\/li><li>Its sulfur content is relativel high (over 1%)\u00a0<\/li><li>The Arabian Light Export and Kuwait Export Blend crude oils belong to this class.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Medium Sour Crude Oil\u00a0Demand and Supply<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Demand-supply relationship of medium sour crude oil is unlike that of light sweet crude oil, due to its sulphur content and properties.<\/li><li>Its output accounts for 44% of the global fuel output.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Crude Benchmarks<\/strong><\/p><p>The three primary benchmarks for crude oil in the world are\u00a0West Texas Intermediate\u00a0(WTI),\u00a0Brent Blend, and\u00a0Dubai Crude.\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>West Texas Intermediate\u00a0is used primarily in the U.S. It is light (API gravity) and sweet (low-sulfur)<\/li><li>Brent Crude\u00a0is a mix of crude oil from 15 different\u00a0oil fields\u00a0in the\u00a0North Sea.
